Leloni Lopez, a Harlem, NY native; debuted her poetry as a new artist in 2015 at Antioch Baptist Church in Harlem, NY; where she performed her piece Humanity. After finding her voice in her craft, she began to push her artistry. Leloni, who’s stage name is Lei Lopez, has performed on various platforms across the United States. Some which include BK Wildlife, Poetic Hy Radio in Chicago, Hartford L.I.T Festival, and the Harlem Fashion Week Black Lives Matter Gala in 2021. She has even performed in Puerto Rico during her honeymoon. Once the pandemic happened, that did not stop Lei from performing. She has now performed on over ten different virtual poetry platforms as well.
But her love for poetry goes pass her pen. Lei Lopez and her late husband, James Lopez, has developed a TV show called Fire To The Mic that exposes the different literary aspects of poetry while being authentic to the poet’s artistry. Fire To The Mic airs on Firestick and Roku TV via the Sable Network app. She has, now, began developing her own Poetry network as she desires to revitalize the poetry community and have a steadfast presence on major platforms.
