SURVIVOR

I am Zakiyyah Austin of NJ and I’m a SURVIVOR! I once felt guilty about that title. I have two beautiful daughters and I’m an entrepreneur. I am the insurance agent who survived and had to call on the products I sell to cover my own traumatic life experience. I have been an insurance agent since 2014 and an agency owner since 2021. Today, I am extremely grateful for my blessing and walk proudly in my survivorship. On September 7, 2019 I was a passenger of a fatal motor vehicle accident. I fought with all of my being while being granted an extension of life by machinery for weeks. Myself, along with my dearest sister-friends took what we intended to be a quick weekend away to celebrate my birthday and I was planning to celebrate my god-daughter’s upcoming nuptials at her bridal shower. Plans CANCELED! Within, the first 24-hours of arriving in Atlanta, Georgia things took a horrific turn.
